What our clients say

"HRC implemented a large tree-planting project for me, and the entire project was delivered on-time, as planned, and with professionalism. I would definitely recommend them and look forward to working with them again on future projects. Thankyou again to the team for helping me bring this vision into reality."

– Dunmore Farm

"The Habitat Restoration Company was contracted for two projects in the spring of this year (2025) at Duchy College Home Farm, Stoke Climsland. The first project was in conjunction with the Woodland Trust to plant over 1,200 whips plus a number of standard trees in three tree alleys as part of an agroforestry trial. The second project involved planting 1,500 native whips within a newly established corridor of riparian buffers.

From the initial planning stages right through to completion, Charlie and his team have been fantastic to work with. Their attention to detail was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. We unfortunately encountered a few delays with third parties delivering tree guards, which meant that some of the planting days had to be rescheduled, but Charlie and the team were incredibly flexible and worked around our delays to ensure that we still met our planting deadlines. Everything was achieved on time and on budget. They coped admirably with our last-minute additions and amendments and were always friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

I have no doubt that we will be using the Habitat Restoration Company again in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services to others."

– Duchy College

"We have had a very positive experience with Habitat Restoration for our Wildlife Pond project. They recently installed a 10m diameter pond in one of our public open spaces. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable throughout the process, responding quickly to emails and accommodating any minor changes. The pond was completed on schedule and has already transformed the space. When the planting has matured, it will be a beautiful addition for local residents to enjoy."

– Peasedown St John Parish Council

"In January 2026, I contracted the Habitat Restoration Company to plant 2,000 trees to plant a new agroforestry scheme on farmland near Tiverton. This included silvopastoral alley systems and silvopastoral roundels. Work covered slit planting the stems and installing individual mulch matts and tree guards.

There were a couple of minor issues with the incorrect number of guards being supplied and some shrub stems not being delivered (by separate suppliers). Charlie was swift to spot these issues and notify me straight away, which gave me the time to quickly order replacement stems that were delivered in time for them to be planted before Charlie & his team left site.

Attention to detail was apparent throughout the contracted works, with clear documentation, policies, and procedures evidentially in place. Charlie, Pat and their team are friendly, polite, hard working and efficient. I will be looking to work with them again in the future on more such schemes.

"Treverbyn Parish Council has engaged Habitat Restoration Company to undertake the maintenance of all our Parish footpaths (approximately 35 km) and the grass cutting of all our open spaces, including Treverbyn Cemeteries. We have found their work to be carried out to a consistently high standard, with reliability and attention to detail. The team, led by Mr Charlie Nicholson, ensures that the footpaths remain accessible, the cemeteries are maintained appropriately, and our community spaces are kept in good condition. We are satisfied with the service provided."

"St Austell RFC contracted The Habitat Restoration Co. to cut back branches overhanging the public highway that boarders Tregorrick Park and crown lift some of the trees to reduce their height.

From the outset we were very impressed by the professional and courteous attitude of the owner Charlie Nicholson. He took the time to understand our requirements and used his experience and knowledge to advise on the best approach for the job.

The Habitat Restoration Co. arrived on site at the agreed date and time to undertake the work. Again their professionalism and attention to detail was obvious from the outset, with care taken to ensure the work was carried out safely and efficiently. Charlie made sure there was minimal impact to road users and quickly cleared the area of all foliage and associated detritus. The work was completed on time with minimal fuss and no impact on Club members or the general public. The Habitat Restoration Co. ensured we were happy with the work completed and that the site was tidied to our satisfaction.

The Habitat Restoration Co. are highly professional, and their services represent great value for money, I have no hesitation in recommending them for your habitat and landscaping needs

"We have no hesitation in recommending Charlie Nicholson and Habitat Restoration. Co. for tree planting. Charlie and his team planted 4400 trees very successfully on our farm in January of this year. The team were very efficient and pleasant to deal with. They completed the job in just over 2 weeks."

– West Trevales Farm

"Charlie Nicholson transformed my garden, it had become a wilderness, overgrown trees and bushes, a field rather than a lawn. Charlie set about changing all that, trees were cut back, dead trees removed. The lawn mown and new grass seed sown, bushes resculpted. Last year, in aid of the Church, I was able to open the garden to the public, all thanks to Charlie. Charlie is a man of many skills, he has worked for me for several years, nothing is ever too much trouble for him, and he has a genius for problem solving.”"
